No validation record. Show “Evidence unavailable”; absence is not zero or success.
Semantic color, theme behavior, and visual intent across Aptlantis interfaces.
Applies to: Reports, charts, dataset profiles, explanatory diagrams and portable data artifacts; a bounded presentation may sit inside a Blue Slate operational host.
Explanation reviewed 2026-10-01. Catalog identity and source review have separate dates.
Read public MarkdownA colored badge can imply success even when no check exists. NeonInk declares what a visual role means and keeps that meaning separate from state and data encoding.
Reports, charts, dataset profiles, explanatory diagrams and portable data artifacts; a bounded presentation may sit inside a Blue Slate operational host.
Declare the artifact role, then its known state, then any data scale. Cyan orients, violet explains process and yellow calls attention to a caveat. State also needs a word, icon, border or marker. Keep glow restrained and static; brightness does not supply evidence.
The adopter produces a versioned semantic mapping, source and limitations note, accessible values, and an adoption record with contrast, keyboard and export evidence. Green state requires a check date and evidence reference.
Compare three states of the same evidence callout. Its role stays “process”; missing evidence, a caveat and a blocking failure receive distinct text. The sample contract below does not declare any real check successful.
No validation record. Show “Evidence unavailable”; absence is not zero or success.
The source is incomplete. Show the limitation alongside the claim, with an attention rail.
A required input is missing. State the blocker and next safe action, with a risk rail.
Adapted from the current adoption record and design-system state contract. No dataset or verification result is asserted.

The catalog retains reviewed NeonInk v0.1.6, active. Live review on 2026-10-01 found candidate-active v0.2.0. Governance-Index.md supersedes Docs/ for new work and retires the whole-brand mandate. This explanation follows the current authority; historical adopters need an explicit migration decision. No real adopter or full accessibility audit is claimed here.
These are reviewed public explanations, not the normative specifications. Suite references are relative to the canonical collection; site/ references identify committed website sources and webserver/ references identify serving configuration. Illustrative examples demonstrate record shape; they do not establish compliance. Suite checks and adopter validation are separate.
